Changing colors, contrast and placements creates the feel from modern to classic to whimsical to antique; but all might have the same building blocks! Come for a review or maybe you’re new - With all the new products and methods available today these Log Cabin blocks are easier and more accurate than ever. Everyone will learn something new! Try a block or two, work on suggested small projects or create your own custom quilt with your quilter’s “building blocks”. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Supplies: Regular and Curvy Log Cabin Blocks For a sample block- 8” Log Cabin block – 1 – 2 ½” square for center 3 – light colored 2 ½” strips about 9” long (use leftover strips – bring extras in case) 3 – dark colored 2 ½” strips about 9” long 8” Curvy log cabin: cut 1 – 1 ¾ ” square for center 3 -Narrow strips – at least 1 ½” wide x WOF 3 - Wide strips – at least 2 ¼” wide x WOF Use good contrast between narrow and wide strips. scraps are OK, wider is OK [use what you have in the scrap bag!] There are also 4” and 6” finished blocks depending on your project which will need different size strips & center.
